Barbara Jane Fields Stahman Byrum Barnes, 85, of Elkins, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025 in Springdale. She was born January 14, 1940 in Washington County, AR to Paul Jonathan and Bonita Pearl Perdue Fields.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Bonita Fields; her daughter Dana Stahman Cifelli; her son Randy Byrum; and twin grandsons Dustin and Denver Stahman.

Barbara was a 1957 graduate of Elkins High School where she was a cheerleader. While in Paducah, KY she volunteered on the Lourdes Hospital Board for many years. She also volunteered at free clinics for women. Barbara loved to read and drink tea. She always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger. She loved her family greatly.

She is survived by one son Kenneth Stahman II and wife Gayla; son-in-law Sam Cifelli; daughter-in-law Karen Byrum; 4 grandchildren, Kenneth Stahman III and wife Tatum, Dr Alleigh Stahman Hodge and husband Haddon of Batesville, AR, Shawn Stahman and wife BreAnna, and Nicholas Cifelli; 3 great-grandchildren, Kenneth Stahman IV, Lucille Stahman, and Hudson Stahman (and two more on the way); 3 sisters, Tropha Sutherby of McCleary, WA, Tanya Lacy and husband Dean of Farmington, AR and Paulette Tate of Elkins, AR; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Beard’s with Rex Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehouse Cemetery.

    I am sorry to hear this. My family lived next door to Bobbi’s family in Paducah back in the early 60’s. My mom and Bobbi were fast friends. Dana and I were good friends too, being that we were the same age. Son Kenny “Bo” was a toddler at the time. Fond memories of the Stahmans.
