I am saddened to hear of Brother Ammons passing. I have many childhood memories of time with him at church, on his farm with his horses, and soccer. He was my soccer coach for a while. He will be missed.
We appreciate Billy and will miss him dearly. His passion for water, farming, his technical expertise and drive helped to make many improvements for our region and beyond, he was instrumental in moving many things forward. We truly will miss him in the Beaver Watershed Alliance group and our deepest sympathies to the Ammons Family.
Sad to hear the news of him passing. May Allah mighty rest his soul in peace and give strength and patience to the family to go through the tough time.
We are so blessed to have gotten to know Billy better in our recent move back to the area and with the wonderful union of Jason and Miriam. Truly a kind and sincere soul. Our hearts ache for your loss but hope the comfort from Jesus Christ’s atonement can provide healing and some reassurance of being united again.

I’m so sorry to hear of your families loss. I haven’t been back home for many years but every time I thought of it I thought of the times I sat in your house for visiting home teaching lessons. I was supposed to be the one giving the lessons but I learned more from yall then anything I could have ever taught. I’ll cherish those memories forever.
Dear Jean and Family,
Jim and I send our sincerest condolences for your loss and we both feel bless to have known Billy, you and your children. We both have you in our hearts and prayers.
Dear Jean and the Ammons Family-
I learned of Billy’s death yesterday upon my arrival in Fayetteville for a conference. I am so sorry for your loss. Billy (Bishop Ammons to me) was a pivotal figure in my life during my teenage years. He was a true friend and example. He gave his counsel, time, and means freely to help so many people. I miss him and your family and take great hope that we will all be together again someday.
With love,
Dirk Black

I was in shock to learn of his passing. My condolences to Jean and the rest of the family.
What a wonderful man, husband and father he was.
The world, and in particular North West Arkansas was a better place thanks to Bishop Billy Leo Ammons.
He made a difference, for the good, in so many people’s lives, and isn’t that what it is all about.
My deepest sympathies go out to your family during this sorrowful time. It was a great pleasure working with Billy over the past 4 years.
Dear family,
So incredibly sad to hear of this. We are so blessed to have had him in our lives. Even after we moved, we were lucky to be able to visit when he was out here on the Eastern Shore. He was a great influence on our family and he will be greatly missed.
Oh Jean, I am so saddened to hear this news. Billy will be remembered fondly as a truly good man and disciple of Christ. He was a great example to us all.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Billy and his family. I used to work with him through City of Fayetteville and I remember him sharing a story about a calf that had passed away. He so clearly felt empathy for that little animal. What a generous amount of love he shared with his family, his friends and with God’s animals too!
We all wish we could have had more time with this great man. He was as kind, gentle, and loving as any man could be. We are all better because of Billy and his amazing life. We love you Jean and Ammons family.
David and I are so very sorry for your loss. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow.
Billy, was a good man, great friend, awesome dad , and true believer. I had the privilege to serve as his ym pres when he was bishop. We had done great adventures together on high adventure trips to Minnesota and New Mexico. I loved him and his great family!! Prayers for your comfort in the surety of eternal life.
Jean, so very sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family.
My condolences to Jean and the rest of the family. I was shocked when I heard that Billy had passed the other day. I have known Billy all the time I have lived in this NWA area these past 22 years. In fact, I met him on a job interview before I moved here. I knew he was a very special leader when I saw a small framed print of the ‘Second Coming’ on his desk. I knew he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. I never shared that I was also a member until the position was offered and accepted.
He was always there to help me during the rest of my working career. He always encouraged me and pushed me to excel. He guided me to the Huntsville Branch. I will always be greatful for that. Billy is a Giant of a Man, a Father, a Child of God.
His presence will be missed, but his love and influence will last forever.
My condolences to the family. I have worked with Billy for past 4 years and he was such a gentleman and a great professional. He always went above and beyond to help others and will always be remembered for his contributions to the society.
I was very saddened to hear the news of Billy’s passing. He was a wonderful person.
My sincerest condolences, I am saddened to hear of Billy’s passing. He was greatly respected in the water community. He will be missed by many! May peace be with his family and beloved friends, may precious memories prop you up at this difficult time.
I was fortunate to work with Billy for many years. He was extremely knowledgeable in his field from a technical perspective and excelled as a regional leader. He was passionate about supporting and promoting his team and surrounded himself with talented individuals who supported major projects in the USA and overseas. My condolences to family and friends.
I just met Billy in January through work out in Texas. In my short time with him, I could tell he was an incredibly nice person, very sharp, and hard working. I am very honored to have gotten the chance to meet him and send my condolences to his family.
I was so very saddened to hear of Billy’s sudden passing. I was fortunate to work with him from afar on a few projects and truly appreciated his professionalism, expertise, willingness to help, and most of all his kind and respectful demeanor. In both electronic and in-person communications, he was pleasant and genuine. From all of us that shared projects with him, we send our heartfelt sympathies. May you all be blessed with peace during this difficult time.
I am very blessed to have worked alongside Billy in the church. He was a great man. I will always be thankful to have known him.
Our sincerest condolences, so very sorry to hear about Billy Ammons sudden passing. He was my bishop during my teenage years, I really enjoyed our boy scouting adventures in the Minnesota boundary waters and New Mexico Carlsbad caverns. I also enjoyed going to the ammons farm on Sundays after church before firesides, playing pool and air hockey. It was fun to see all the Ammons boys monkey up the balcony railing with pure upper body strength. We will miss Bishop Ammons dearly. He was kind, loving, and an example to us all.
