Bonnie Jean Wilcox, 54, of Elkins, Arkansas, sadly passed away on May 13th, 2025. She was born to parents Karol “Jean” (Hovland) Backus and Wayne Edwin Henning on November 4th, 1970, in Des Moines, Iowa.

She graduated from Des Moines East High School in 1989. She was part of the East High Color Guard and Choir. After 17 years of service, Bonnie retired from the Washington Regional Dialysis Unit. As their receptionist, she was the beautiful smile and glowing personality who greeted the patients daily. Bonnie proudly led her boys’ Tiger Cub troop and served her community in the City of Elkins as a city council alderman for several years. She was also happily involved in her son Corben’s high school marching band career as a proud “Band Mom”.

Bonnie is survived by her father, Wayne Henning; her oldest son, Corben Wilcox; her youngest son, Colby Wilcox and his wife, Lyndsie Wilcox; her granddaughter, Violet Wilcox; her niece, Katie Henning; and many loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her mother Jean Backus and her brother Kevin Henning.
