Brandon “Dean” Combs, 39, was born November 14, 1982 in Fayetteville, AR to Burl Combs and Tina Vanover and went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2022 in Springdale, AR.
Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas Clinton and Virginia Lee Combs of Elkins, AR; step-grandparents, Russell and Nancy Dyke; sister, Tabitha Gilmore; brother, Michael Gilmore; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Dean was the biggest kid that anyone ever knew, he loved to see the people around him happy and smiling. He had a heart of gold and a loving demeanor. He was larger than life, but when it came to babies and animals, he was a big teddy bear! He enjoyed visiting new places around the country, he loved camping, 4-wheeling, the outdoors, and anything he could do with his family. Drawing was his passion, and he drew regularly from an early age up until he physically couldn’t anymore. Brandon worked with his brother and cousins cleaning cooling towers for many years at DRC and Systems Services.
Dean is survived by his three sons, Andy, Kellen, and Joey Combs; fiancé, Amber Gaffney and children, Andrew Gaffney, Brandon, Tristin, and Aliyah McComas of the home; parents, Burl (Paula) Combs of Elkins, and Tina Vanover of Elkins; maternal grandparents, Harrison and Rosie Vanover of Elkins; paternal step-grandmother, Shirley Moore of Elkins; siblings, Brandon (Haley) Long of Elkins, Lydia (Brad) Huddleston of Eads, TN, Brad (Rose) Combs of Elkins, Matt (Kayla) Combs of Huntsville, Courtney (Keith) Williford of Fayetteville, and Keith (Sandra) Williford of Tontitown; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel and the service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Jacob Wagoner and John Baker officiating. Burial will follow at McCord Cemetery in Elkins.

TINA AND BURL I AM SO SORRY AND BRAD AND HIS KIDS AND FAMILY
Tina, Brad, Burl and family, I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a wonderful young man and I know he will be missed.
Tina and I were in the same class for 12 years at Elkins. I first meet Brandon when the both of us worked at Northwest Hospital in Springdale. Brandon worked on the mental health ward and was well suited to helping people, especially the younger patients. When I found out he was Tina’s son, he asked me to verify a story about Tina he’d heard most of his life.
Such a good soul. My condolences to his family.
So sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Tina and Burl we are so saddened by your loss! You are in our prayers.
