Brenda G. Nix, 64, passed away on Sunday, February 11th, 2024. Brenda was born January 1st, 1960 in Mulberry, Arkansas.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Bessie Hattabaugh; her brother Bob Hattabaugh; and her son-in-law Bo Dye.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Nix; her daughters Christy Dye of Elkins and Sarah McBroom of Austin, TX; and her four grandsons, Derrick Griggs, Bo Dye, Andre Dye, and Chris Griggs; and great-granddaughter Riley Griggs.
Brenda had a plethora of jobs throughout her life. She worked at Fayetteville City Hospital as a caregiver. She also worked for Sam’s Club for 17 years when she retired.
One of Brenda’s hobbies included collecting all things snowmen. Brenda loved Christmas. She loved her dogs and owned many throughout her lifetime. She also loved to spend time with her family celebrating holidays, birthdays, and playing charades.
Brenda always made sure she had chocolate on hand.
The visitation will be Wednesday, February 14th,, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Beard’s Chapel. Funeral services will start at 2:00 PM at the funeral home following the visitation.
Interment will follow in Hazel Valley Cemetery.
