Christopher Michael Starnes was born May 8, 1975 and passed away July 30, 2022.
Chris was born in Tampa, Florida and raised in the Seminole, Florida area. He attended college at UNC Asheville on a tennis scholarship where he graduated in 1997 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Health Care Administration and a Minor in Sports Medicine.
Chris was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in childhood but never let that hold him back from any achievements in life. After college he obtained what he called “his dream job” with Medtronic educating physicians and patients on insulin pumps.
After moving to Arkansas to be closer to his children, who he loved dearly, Chris began his career in land sales and later earned his brokers license. Chris was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved being in the woods and found land sales to be a natural fit and his passion.
Chris volunteered with Buckmasters and offered his outdoor expertise to anyone who asked. His excitement for the outdoors was contagious.
Chris left behind two daughters, Adalyn Elizabeth Starnes, age 16 and Maya Marie Starnes, age 11; his wife, Jennifer Hunter; mother, Patty Prestera; father, Steve Starnes; and brother, Steven Starnes.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

Chris changed our life for the better. He really really really helped us. Our family enjoys the life that we now live because of Chris. Sorry to hear of his untimely passing. Thoughts condolences and prayers for him and his family.
