Dewey Warford, 78, of Farmington, AR, passed away January 18, 2023 in Fayetteville. He was born October 7, 1944 in Crosses, AR to Byron and Lona Long Warford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia Warford; one brother; and four sisters.

Dewey was a well-known musician in Fayetteville back in his earlier years. He loved to play music. Dewey was quite the “story teller”. He was owner/operator of an excavation company.

He is survived by a daughter, Mashawn Emmett; three brothers, Sonny, Johnny and Dude Warford, all of Fayetteville; a sister, Geraldine Coleman of Fayetteville; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Beard’s Chapel with Pastor Jasper Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in McCord Cemetery.

There is no scheduled visitation.

    He was a dear friend for many years . I sat with Virginia until she passed after having a aneurysm. I will miss him so much but I know he is having coffee with mom and dad, Neal and Penny Northcutt up on Mineral Springs Road. Hugs to you and Virginia!💕💕

    I’m so saddened by the passing of my Uncle Dewey. I was lucky enough to have him come visit us every year in East Wenatchee when I was growing up. I will always remember him singing and playing guitar with my parents. RIP Uncle, hug my Momma for me❤️
