Emma Jean Pennington, 75, of Fayetteville, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2025. She was born July 7, 1949 to Roscoe and Emma Slaughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Charlene Shepherd.
Emma Jean was a longtime employee of American Air Filter and Sam’s Club.
She is survived by her three children, daughter Shelly and husband Ronnie Glenn, son Jimmy and wife Crystal Pennington, and son Jason and wife Debbie Pennington; a sister Karen Barnes; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with David Daniel officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service-time at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Crosses, AR.

Emma was a great person. I worked with her and Charlene at Bear Brand Hosiery. Both were a pleasure to work with. Always enjoyed catching up with her at Sam’s. Prayers for the family.
