Ervin Dale Young, 71, of Elkins, died October 4, 2021 at Willard Walker Hospice Home. He was born November 5, 1949 in Fayetteville the son of the late Arvil Leonard and Goldie Josephine Skelton Young.
Ervin retired from the Fayetteville Road Department after 36 years of service. He attended the McCord Church and enjoyed playing his guitar but mostly spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Faye Stansell and Joyce Stockton.
He is survived by two daughters, Andrea Young (Travis Goodman) of Elkins and Becky Lewallen of Fayetteville; one brother; Norman Young of Elkins; five sisters, Reba Boatright of Springdale, Linda Moore, Loyce Smith and Janice Harrod all of Elkins and Brenda Morgan of St Paul; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at McCord Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Becky and Andy, I’m so so sorry to hear about your dad. I always loved him, he was always trying to give us all a hard time. I have lots of memories of him. I love you both
