Etta Margaret (Daugherty) Pinion, born August 4, 1936 in Hardin County, KY passed away on June 15, 2024  at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, AR surrounded by her family.

Etta grew up near Cecilia, KY and attended Howe Valley School for twelve years before graduating as salutatorian of her class.  She met Thomas Wesley Pinion and married shortly thereafter on September 23, 1955.  She was a devout Christian woman who enjoyed writing poetry, researching genealogy, reading her bible and singing hymns.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren

Etta is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Beeler Daugherty and Bessie Daugherty; her husband, Thomas Pinion; and a daughter, Virginia Sue Pinion.

She is survived by six children, Sarah Lynne Riggs from Wichita, KS, Larry Pinion and wife Kathy from Ft. Gibson, OK, Steve Pinion and wife Miquela from Ardmore, OK, Mike Pinion from Winslow, AR, Mitch Pinion and wife Patti from Ocean Springs, MS, and Daniel Pinion and wife Jessie from Bonham, TX, and two brothers, James (Jim) Daugherty and Norman Woodrow (Woody) Daughtery and wife Inez from Franklin Crossroads, KY.

Services for Etta are scheduled at 4:00 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, AR.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until service-time at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Interment will follow later in the week at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, OK.

Etta was a loving mother with a strong desire to make the lives of others better and she will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
