Garry Wayne Hankins, age 71, of Elkins, AR passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at his home. He was born January 5, 1953 in Fayetteville, AR to Nancy Charlene Hankins and Randall Ray Hankins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roy Kennith Hankins.

Garry is survived by one child, Justin Travis Hankins and wife Lacy Jo Hankins of Wesley, AR; three grandchildren, Caleb, Kailey, and Cash Hankins; one aunt, Evelyn Sue Dommert of Durham, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a full-time heavy equipment operator and truck driver until his retirement. In his earlier years, he loved working on old cars and helping friends with theirs (as he was a very good mechanic and could fix almost anything).

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Mt. Olive Cemetery (east of Elkins) with Pastor Jasper Hankins officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Hankins, Kailey Hankins, Joseph Cash Hankins, Matt Frost, Michael Clark, Colby Couch, Cody Keller, and Willie Toney.
