Gerald D. Cates, 92, of Farmington, AR passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in Fayetteville. He was born October 6, 1931 in Ness City, KS to Claude and Loma Johnson Cates.

He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Loma Cates, and a brother, Delmar Cates.

Gerald owned and operated Cates Woodshaving.

He is survived by a brother Loren Cates of Farmington, AR; nieces, Brenda Cates Lenn and husband Steven and Lisa Cates Quiring and husband Mike; and nephew Kenneth Cates.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, February 23, 2024 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

Interment will be private in Farmington Cemetery.

There is no scheduled visitation.
