
On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, the Lord called Harley Estes home to be with Him. He was born September 13, 1937 in Paducah, KY. to Harley G. and Pearl Newsome Estes.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Harley was a heavy equipment operator for Estes Construction which he owned. He was a kind and loving man who loved kids and animals. He was a man of his word and was due all the love and respect he received from all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Pauline Estes of the home; 3 sons, Kirk Estes and wife, Tonya of Plano TX, Jimmy Slavens of Hogeye, AR. and Rocky Slavens and wife, Terri of Fayetteville; a daughter, Donna Bridger and husband, Andy of Rochester, New Hampshire; a sister, Ora Mae Swafford of Mayfield, KY; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Harley will be greatly missed by family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Beard’s Chapel.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Buckner Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Buckner Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
