Hugh Colin Nash, 55, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024 in Fayetteville. He was born June 3, 1969 on Guam to Robert and Lorraine Nash.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Hugh graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1987 enlisting with the U.S. Army. He served with the 1st Cavalry Division with Blackhorse Air Assault 11th ACR. Hugh was stationed in Fulda, Germany during the fall of the Berlin Wall. He also served during the Gulf War/Operation Desert Storm. He enjoyed target shooting, fishing and the great outdoors.

He is survived by his siblings, Elizabeth McCollum (Jeffery) of Carpentersville, IL, Coleman Nash (Diana) of Fayetteville, AR and Bonnie Rhine (John) of Lincoln, AR; his nieces and nephews, Melissa Crawford, Vivian Hamby, Taylor Nash, Grant Nash, Jennie Lukas, Amanda Underhill, and Kristen Rhine; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Monday, July 1, 2024 at Beard’s Chapel with Ryan Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery with military honors.
