Jan 28, 2023

Indianola Williams, 98, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023 at her home. She was born in Winfrey, Arkansas on October 1, 1924 to Claud and Lillie Parker Meadors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lucille Schader, Norma Shackelford, Josephine Tomlinson, and Lena Faye Shepherd; brothers, Howard, Joe and John Meadors; a son, Jimmy Ray Adams; and a stepson, Craig Williams.

Indianola was a wonderful and very strong woman. She worked hard all her life to provide for her family. She was known for her great cooking and housekeeping. She loved crafts. Loved making flower arrangements and was great making them. Her house was like going to Hobby Lobby. Our mom was also our best friend and was always there for us whether good or bad. She will be forever missed, another piece of our life’s puzzle gone forever, but will live on in our hearts for as long as we live. In her last days, she was surrounded by family that loved her dearly.

She is survived by her husband Charles Williams; daughter Betty Fisher; sister Geneva Perry; grandchildren, Tina Arnold (Stacy), Jammie Fisher, Lisa Tabor (Gary), Kim Thomas (Luke), Tricia Beavers, and Michael Hanshew; great-grandchildren, Dillion Arnold, Billy Arnold, Alicia Long, Bradley Adams, Caleb Thomas, Hunter Thomas, and Madelyn Thomas; and great-great-grandchildren, Damon Arnold and Harper Thomas.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Beard’s Chapel with Chaplain Rex Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

There is no scheduled visitation.
