Jackie Rich Meador, 95, went to be with Jesus peacefully on March 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Jackie was a born again Christian and a devoted servant of the Lord, living a life dedicated to faith, service, and love. She embraced many callings throughout her life, working as a teacher, beautician, Sunday school teacher, missionary, hospice coordinator, and counselor – all while raising her 5 kids with her husband Brice Meador. In her later years she returned to college and earned her Master’s degree in social work. Her unwavering faith and compassion touched countless lives, and she found joy in serving others in every role she had.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and steadfast devotion to God. Her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her will always be changed by the impact she had on their lives. She will forever be remembered by her family as someone who approached each day with a thankful heart and positive attitude. Yet beneath her kind exterior, laid a resilient spirit, tough in the face of adversity, and inspiring others with her determination and grit to tackle anything in her path. Her generosity was boundless, always willing to lend a helping hand or listening ear. Now if we could just replicate her peanut brittle and sewing skills…
Jackie’s love, laughter, and faith will live on forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Though she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, just as she would have if she were here. She would always remind us of her and God’s love for us. It was a known fact in our family that if you needed mountains to move you always called mom/gran/great gran to pray about it.
Jackie is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years Brice Meador; two oldest daughters, Vicki Ellis and Jamie Clark; grandson Matt Clark, and great granddaughter Shelby Binney.
She leaves behind her 3 youngest children, Jim Meador(Helen), Elaine Goseland(Stan), and Manci Gage(Bob); grandchildren Casey White, Lindsy Ellis, Jodie Doherty, April Flynn,Tiffany Jones, Brittany Binney, Kelsey Meador, and Josh Goseland. As well as, her numerous great grandchildren that will miss her hugs, kisses, and special snack drawer.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 14th , 2025 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 15th , 2025 at 11:00am. What an incredible person and witness. Jackie was truly one of the kindest and most generous people ever. She not only talked about God’s love but showed it daily in her sunny attitude, encouragement and her willingly to drop everything to help others. I am very thankful for all the love she showed my parents and grandparents and for all the special time my siblings and I were able to spend with her. I feel so blessed to have know her.
What a beautiful example of a godly woman. A life well lived for the glory of God.
I loved the many Christmas cards we shared over the years. She was so proud of her family and always interested in mine. Such a warm, nurturing person. She will be truly missed.
I fondly remember many summer vacations playing with my cousin, Jamie, and feeling so welcome in the Meador home. Aunt Cleo, Jackie, Brice and the clan will forever be in my heart.
I came to know Jackie just a short 18 years ago , and I always looked forward to visiting her at family gatherings. Her obituary hit it on the nail in describing this most wonderful lady…..so kind and loving to all she met. I am forever impacted just by knowing this Special Sweet Angel Jackie!
Such an amazing woman, always with a positive attitude, and a smile in her face a great example of a true Christian, learn to love her in a very short time, sending my love to the whole family
Such a beautiful lady, inside and out. I loved getting to greet her on Sunday mornings. She is the true example of grace. I’m sure her family will miss her but praise God, they will see her again.
Jackie was my friend and Sunday school teacher.
She was such a good friend and teacher. I will miss her so much. She such an amazing Christian woman. Sending my condolences, prayers and love to the family.
An absolutely beautiful, wonderful person and a tremendous testimony of our Saviour. I can think of so very many times seeing her, but I did have the pleasure once of surprising her as she ministered in Atlanta. On a visit to my family in Marietta, I asked my sister if she could find the house where Jackie was in ministry, and she did, and I was able to surprise Jackie. A very precious human!!!
I only met her once several years ago (pre-COVID) when my friend (her niece Sheryl also now deceased) & I visited Jackie in her home. She was a lovely lady. So very sorry for these 2 losses the family has surfaced this past March.
