Johnny Brook Warford, 71, of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 with his wife and some of his loved ones present.
He was born April 30, 1949 to Ruby Lynn Barefoot and Clyde Edward Warford in San Antonio, Texas.
Despite having asthma and several allergies, he served in the United States Navy. Tho’ he planned on serving longer, he retired after 20 years due to the worsening of his asthma. He was a Chief Petty Officer-Grade: E-7.
After retiring, he settled in Fayetteville, going to work in the maintenance department until his retirement.
September 19, 1993, he met his Soulmate, Joyce Miller of Springdale, Arkansas. They married July 17, 1994 and were blessed with 26 years together.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; an older sister, Karen Sturgeon of Fayetteville; a younger brother, Brett Warford and Annette of Fayetteville; four daughters, Spring Applegate of the home, Regina Schuetz and Jed Couch of Fayetteville, Debra Miller and Jerome Pinkham of Rogers and Teresa Miller and Jim Keilbarth of Elkins; three sons, Brook B. Warford of Branson, MO, Gregory Miller and Cindy Bigalow of Goshen and Scott Miller and Jeana Reinhart of Fayetteville; 1 niece; 2 nephews; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:30 PM Monday, November 23, 2020 at Beard’s Chapel.
Inurnment will follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
