Lane Spears, 72, of West Fork was born November 25, 1943 in Dallas, TX.  After a long illness he passed at Washington Regional Medical Center on May 14, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hazel Spears of Winslow; and several aunts, cousins and nieces.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Spears of West Fork; brothers, Bob Spears of Winslow and George Spears and wife, Geri of Winslow; Walt Spears and wife, Sue of Phoenix, AZ.; sister, Mary Ruth Sharp and husband, Will of Purdon, TX.; and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He loved being part of a large family and tried to keep up with them as best he could.  He will be missed by all.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Sunset Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

There is no scheduled visitation.
