Larry Dewayne Johnson, 54 of Goshen passed away, Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Willard Walker Hospice. He was born April 23, 1959 in Springdale, Arkansas to Wendell Lynn Johnson and Ruby Arvilla Gayer Johnson. Larry worked for the Washington county Sheriff’s department since July 12, 2004 until his passing. Larry also served as a volunteer firefighter/ first responder for the Goshen Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his mother and his son, Larry Dwayne Johnson Jr. Survivors include his father, Wendell Johnson; son, Jason Johnson; two sisters, Dianna Nash and husband Coleman and Angela Harrison and husband Andy; brother, Gary Johnson all of Fayetteville; soul mate, Madeleine Blakemore of the home and several nieces, nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Stan Morris and Chaplain Earl Adams officiating. Burial will be at the Wesley Cemetery.
