Lewis White SR. (Sacman) was born June 4th, 1980 to Betty White and Dennis Jackson SR at Leflore Hospital in Greenwood, MS. He was a very active and playful child. At the age of three Lewis started his life journey at Sacred Heart Head Start where he began to learn his independence and flourish academically. He continued his educational journey attending Melissa Manning Elementary, Coleman Jr. High School, and Greenville High School where he discovered the Job Corp Centers of America that he would attend to study Brick Masonry and Welding. At the age of 8 Lewis confessed his belief in Christ and was baptized at St. John MB Church under the leadership of pastor JB Woods.
Lewis fulfilled his duty as a faithful member of St. Johns choir for five years. Throughout Lewis teenage years he would attend church frequently with his grandmother Ethel Lee Taylor. At the age of 17 Lewis welcomed to the world his first son Takarius White. At the age of 20 Lewis met Rochelle (Evans) White while working for MACE. The two of them would go, on to have six children and raise a total of nine children together. Lewis and Rochelle wed on February 8, 2012 and remained married until his passing. Lewis was a devoted father to his children and loved his wife dearly. In 2016 Lewis and his family moved to Fayetteville, AR in search of better opportunities and a better life for their children.
Lewis worked several different jobs to help support his family. On September 26th, 2021 Lewis was called home. He proceeds in death by his son Kahlil White and his grandmother Ethel Lee Taylor. He leaves to mourn his wife Rochelle White (Evans) sons: Takarius White, Jahlil White, Lewis White Jr., Ethan White, all of Fayetteville, his 4 daughters Breana Evans, Lashuntie Evans, Rosetta White, Ethel White, all of Fayetteville, AR. His mother Betty White of Fayetteville, AR and Father Dennis Jackson SR (Atlanta, GA). 4 brothers Dennis Jackson Jr., Philip Jackson (Atlanta, GA), James White Jr. (Greenville, MS), Timothy Jackson (Atlanta, GA), and one sister Sheritta Jackson of Atlanta, GA. A very special sister/cousin Tiffany Buie of Fort Worth, TX and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lewis was loved by many and touched by many lives throughout the years. He was very passionate about helping others even though he had his own struggles in his life. Lewis will be truly missed by all the lives he has touched over his 41 years of life and today we are celebrating his smile, sense of humor, and loving sprit until we meet again.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Beard’s Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Friday, October 8, 2021 at the funeral home.
