Margaret Ann Roberts, 82, died at home on February 5, 2020 after a long illness.
She was born on October 23, 1937 in Atkins, Arkansas to Paul and Rose Nottenkamper.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Laurence; two daughters, Janet Harty (Robert) and Linda Powell (Steve); two grandchildren, Amber Lazarra (Adam) and Christopher Harty (Amy); four great-grandchildren, Nolan, Landon, Coby and Layla; one sister, Mary Kersten; and one brother, Joe Nottenkamper.
Margaret was very involved in the lives of children, having been a Girl Scout leader for several years, as well as a tutor and librarian at St. Joseph’s School, and a sacristan at St. Joseph’s Church when they were located on Lafayette Ave. She bought her first home computer in the late 80’s and taught herself how to use it. Margaret taught introductory computer classes through the Senior Citizen’s Center, was a Docent at the Shiloh Museum in Springdale, and served as a poll worker when local elections were held at the Wyman Community Center and Round Mountain Fire Station.
