MargueriteMartinPICMarguerite Olga Martin 95, of West Fork died Wednesday, June 11, 2014. She was born October 18, 1918 in Schertz, Texas to Alvin Lohse and Ida Schneider Lohse. She was a longtime member of first Baptist Church of West Fork. She loved gardening and was a member of the West Fork Gardening Club and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Martin; two sisters, Ruth Thierry and Ruby Lohse; three brothers, Andrew Lohse, Winfred Lohse and Clifford Lohse.Survivors include her two daughters, Janice Blackmon and husband Virgil of West Fork and Sharon Truelove of Greenland; two brothers, Melvin Lohse of Houston, Texas and Stanley Lohse and wife Vivian of Hillsboro, Texas; sister in law, Alene Lohse of Nixon, Texas; five grandchildren, David Blackmon and wife Connie of Bentonville, John Blackmon of West Fork, Cheri DeSoto and husband Joe of West Fork, Amanda Miller and husband Andy of Springdale and Dixie James of Rogers; six great grandchildren, Trusten, Nicole, Luke, Hannah, Travis and Sadie and several other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 13, 2014 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel from 5:30 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be held 2 PM, Saturday at First Baptist Church of West Fork with Pastor Jere Mitchell officiating. A graveside service will be 10 AM, Monday at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with Pastor Heath Clower officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Westfork Baptist Church Youth Foundation.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com
