Mark Allen Gayer, 57, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on August 30, 2025, surrounded by love and his children.
Born on December 30, 1967, in Fayetteville to Ramona and Gordon Gayer.
He grew up alongside his seven siblings…Theresa Henretty (married to Tim), David (married to Terry), Brian (married to Vickie), Jimmy Coggins, Rodney Coggins, and Gwen Mooreforming bonds that would last a lifetime.
In 1985 and 1988, Mark welcomed the two greatest joys of his life — his children, Robby and Tiffany.
Mark was a deeply kind and fiercely stubborn man — a mix that made him both endearing and unforgettable. Underneath his quiet, laid-back nature was a sensitive soul who wanted nothing more than for the people he loved to be happy. He wasn’t one for drama or small talk, but he had a sharp wit, a warm presence, and a laugh that could lift the mood of an entire room.
Mark had a lifelong passion for music, especially 70s and 80s rock. Whether it was blasting KISS, Van Halen, or Mötley Crüe, his soundtrack was always loud and legendary. He was also a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Arkansas Razorbacks, never missing a game and always ready with strong opinions (and maybe a few curse words).
In his younger days, Mark loved playing basketball with friends after work. As he got older, he found comfort in the simple things: a quiet evening at home, a friendly cookout, a good song on the stereo. He was a homebody by nature, but nothing made him happier than being surrounded by the people he loved, his family, and his many great friends.
Mark was never one to pretend to be someone he wasn’t. His favorite saying, “I just gotta be me,” wasn’t just a quote — it was his philosophy. He believed in living honestly, loving fully, and working hard.
He will be remembered for his laughter, his loyalty, and the gentle way he showed up for others, not with big speeches, but with steady presence, strong hugs, and quiet support. He was one of the good ones.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Ramona and Gordon Gayer.
He is survived by his children, Robby and Tiffany Gayer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 2796 N Clark Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72704.
