Neal Ford Carlew, 84, of Bentonville, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Arkansas Veterans Home in Fayetteville.  He was born July 13, 1935 in Amagon, AR to Norman and Viola Ford Carlew.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Neal was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He retired from Sysco Foods as vice president in 1992.  Neal enjoyed fishing, playing poker and traveling.  He loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Baker Carlew of the home; two sons, John Carlew and wife, Jennifer of Bentonville and Brian Carlew and wife, Cheryl of Madison, MS; two daughters, Terri Toland and husband, Jimmy of Lewisville, TX and Debra Fryar and husband, Chris of Big Spring, TX; a brother, Barry Martel Carlew and wife, Mary Jane of Harrisburg, AR; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Monday, October 28, 2019 at Beard’s Chapel.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Beard’s Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery with military honors.
