Norman “Dean” Duncan, 82, of Combs passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born July 5, 1935 in Fayetteville to Norman Riley and Ellie Pearl Johnston Duncan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Duncan and a brother, Donald Gene Duncan.
Dean was a U.S. Navy veteran; a member of St. Paul Bible Church; and a retired long-haul truck driver.
He is survived by a daughter, Julie Perkins of Combs; a son, Jerry Duncan and wife, Chrissy of Elkins; a brother, Allen Duncan of California; 5 grandchildren, Joshua Smith and wife, Ashley, Jacob Smith and wife, Jessica, Ashley Perkins and Lily and Eve Duncan; 4 great-grandchildren, Arlin, June, Forrest and Ellie Smith; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Beard’s Chapel. Interment will follow in Brashears Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the funeral home.
