Dr. Welch was associate dean when I met him. (I was the public relations coordinator at the UA College of Engineering, just graduating with a BA in journalism.) He was a great guy! Calm, funny and very kind! I looked up to him (and Dr. Jim Halligan). He was one reason that job was one of the BEST I ever had. The world is a better place because of him!
