Alexander Baguio, February 4, 1952~June 12, 2026

Jun 16, 2026

The family of Alexander Baguio is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Friday, June 12, 2026. Born on February 4, 1952 in Cebu City, Philipines, Alexander lived a full and remarkable life. Like many Filipinos, he sacrificed time at home to work abroad and support his family. He was very self-sacrificing. Alexander worked for 8 years in the middle east. Then he worked in Dutch Harbor Alaska until his eldest daughter brought him to Farmington, Arkansas; where he worked for Wal-mart. He was very hard working.

Alexander is preceded in death by his parents and several siblings. Alexander is survived by 2 brothers, Samuel and Innocencio Baguio and one sister Gloria Kho. He is also survived by his wife, Magdalena Baguio; his children, Alexa (Russell) Davis, Sugar Ray Baguio (Daylene) Baguio, Cielo (Chris) Franke-McGarvey, and his grandchildren: Zachry Dean Davis, Katniss Rain Baguio, Axl Snow Baguio, and Calista Skye Franke-McGarvey.

Papa Alex was humorous and fun to be around. He told his family that when he dies, “He will be sliding up and down on the Rainbow”! On Sundays when Magdalena was in such hurry to get to church; Alex would muse, “why are in such a hurry to go to church, you want to get to heaven first?” So if it were a race Papa Alex has won.

He was also a loving husband, father, grandfather, and enjoyed seeing his grandchildren. Once Alexander had grandchildren, he became stingy with his money for his son, wife, or daughters.  However, he gladly gave money to his grandchildren when requested. Alexander will be lovingly remembered by his family and cherished friends.

A visitation will be held at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, AR from 5-8 PM on Friday, June 19, 2026.

A memorial service will be held at Beard’s Funeral Chapel, Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 10 AM.

After the service there will be a reception at the Davis’ residence 21 E. Joliet, Farmington AR.  The family thanks everyone for their kindness, support, and caring as we say goodbye to Alexander.
