Alvin Lee Shepherd, Sr, 77, of Brentwood Community, died January 23, 2018 at Willard Walker Hospice Home. He was born July 8, 1940 in Orange County, CA. to Harvey and Tennie Orman Shepherd. Alvin was a farmer and enjoyed playing music.
He was preceded in death by one son, James (Charley) Miller, seven sisters and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Scott Shepherd; son, Alvin Lee (Little Al) Shepherd, Jr. of Brentwood; four daughters, Teresa Stewart of Fayetteville, Terry McKaig and Tina Shepherd both of Phoenix, AZ. and Tracy Hungate of Orlando, FL; and sister, Martha Maxwell of Fayetteville; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 26, 2018 at Living Faith Church with Rev. Steve Curtis and Rev. Buel Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.
