Andrea Lea Phillips, April 22, 1969~January 27, 2017

Jan 28, 2017

Phillips copyAndrea Lea Phillips, age 47, passed away peacefully Friday, January 27, 2017, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born April 22, 1969 at Washington Regional in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Jarrett Ray Eaton and Barbara Ann Johnson.

Andrea was preceded in death by her beloved father, Jarrett Ray Eaton along with grandparents, Frank & Irene Eaton on her father’s side and Johnny & Angie Hawkins on her mother’s.

Andrea loved people and even more so taking care of them, which was reflected in her life-long career of serving at restaurants. Andrea was also quite the cook, whether it was for her immediate family or for a cookout (which were a current event). No one ever went hungry around Andrea. It brought joy to her heart being able to make food so plentiful that everyone could eat, and so good that everyone would end up eating too much. Holidays were Andrea’s favorite times of the year as one of her hobbies was decorating, which she did extremely well blessing numerous people besides herself. The holidays also presented her the opportunity for giving which she did so eagerly every chance she got.

Many in the community of Northwest Arkansas have been touched by the kindness of Andrea as she had an uncanny ability to touch those around her in a deep and positive way.

She is survived by her children, Brandy Coleman and Jarod (Scotty) Eaton; brother, Mark Eaton; mother, Barbara Johnston; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Pat Manning officiating. Interment will follow in Boston Cemetery in Pettigrew under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

There is no scheduled visitation.

My husband and I were just talking about Andrea a few days ago while we ate at Herman’s, where we first met her. She was the BEST wait person ever anywhere! Kind, considerate and so very personable. Our kids always wanted to sit wherever Andrea was working.
She will be greatly missed by many local folks.

We are sorry to hear about your loss. Sickness has robbed us of our loved ones resulting in their death. May these scriptures bring you all comfort. Isaiah 33:24 promises ,”And no resident will say: “I am sick.” The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error.” When Jesus was on earth he healed the sick and raised the dead. At John 11:25 “Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” What a wonderful hope we can look forward to and may God strengthened you in the days ahead.

I am so sorry to hear about Andrea. She had such a sweet soul. I went to school with Andrea and always thought she was so sweet and kind. I ran into her through the years at different restaurants and she was just as sweet and friendly as ever. The last time I saw her was at the Beauty Supply house and she told me she was helping her son and daughter n law prepare for their wedding. She was so proud of her 2 beautiful children. Hugs, love and prayers to each of her family members and friends. She will be missed. Love,

After I read about Andrea’s recent death after just 47 short years of precious life, I wanted to express my feelings of sympathy for Brandy, Jarod and the Phillips family and friends. I know Andrea has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, the pain and grief seems unbearable. Our loving God Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) understands how we feel and he comforts us by means of his word the Bible. Psalm 34: 18 tells us: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Most of us have seen this enemy death claim the lives of people dear to us. But Jehovah God promises to destroy this enemy, death, once and for all. Rev. 21: 4; tells us: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” (Isaiah 25: 8, 1 Corinthians 15: 26) Isaiah 26:19 “Your dead will live……And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life.” Isaiah 25:8 “He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it.” For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God’s kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection (John 5: 28, John 6: 40, John 11:23-25) I offer my sincere condolences to the family.
