B. Wayne Kirk, May 9, 1938~May 4, 2026

May 7, 2026

With heavy hearts, we share that B. Wayne Kirk passed away on May 4th, 2026.

Wayne was born on May 9, 1938, in McRae, Arkansas. He is survived by Arlene, his wife of almost 68 years; his children, Karmen (Jimmie), Jason (Laura) and Alyson; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his brother, Rip (Novella).

Wayne retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 2003 after many years as a railroad engineer. More than anything, he was a dedicated family man. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren every chance he got.

He loved collecting things, especially trains and Razorback memorabilia, and had many hobbies that kept his hands and heart busy. He enjoyed making stained glass, woodworking and leather work. He was a master gardener and enjoyed cooking, and was especially known for his meatloaf and mashed potatoes.

He was deeply loved and will be missed by so many. We are thankful for the memories, the love he gave so freely, and the time we had with him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 10th, 2026 from 2-4 PM at Beard’s Funeral Chapel, 855 S. Happy Hollow Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72701.

Services will be on Monday, May 11th, 2026 at 11:30 AM at Beard’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
