Bailey Claire Reed, April 7, 1999~November 13, 2018

Nov 14, 2018

Bailey Claire Reed, 19, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in Fayetteville.  She was born April 7, 1999 in Fayetteville to Anthony and Dessie Reid Reed.

She was a graduate of Fayetteville High School.  Bailey enjoyed painting and drawing.  She especially loved having her iPad at 5-0-0, exactly.  She enjoyed laughing and had a quick wit.  Bailey never judged other people and always looked for the good in them.  Bailey loved music and dancing when she was able-bodied.  She had a smile and a hug for everyone she met.  Bailey had a kind heart which she says she got from her Aunt Nona.  Close family connections were extremely important to her.  Concerts with cousins and friends were some of her favorite things.  Her gift of writing came from an early love of reading.  The Junie B. Jones books, the Harry Potter series and the Twilight Saga were some of her favorites.  These and others, cultivated her skill for writing her own short stories.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Milton Roy Reid; her grandmother, Nancy White Reed; and an uncle, Kenneth Eeland Reed.

Bailey is survived by her parents; a brother, Philip Anthony Reed II of Fayetteville; a grandmother, Anna Mae Reid of Onia, AR; an uncle, Jim Reed (Sandra); cousins, Jamie Lauren Reed, Madison Lee Reed; an aunt, Nona Reid Nading (Jeff); and numerous other friends which she considered family.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Beard’s Chapel and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements by Beard’s Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Children’s Northwest, 2601 Gene George Blvd, Springdale, AR 72762.

    Anthony, Dessie, and Phillip-

No parents could have been more loving, attentive, supportive, and persistently faithful to Bailey as you have always been. You are truly inspirational! Now, Bailey’s suffering is over, yet yours is not, and that is because you loved her so and she you. You must feel a whole range of feelings every 15 minutes. You are surrounded by family and friends who will support you in your grief, and Bailey is loving you with them.

Bailey was a very special person. I am so sorry for your loss and I imagine it will be hard to get use to her being gone from this plane of existence. If we could see through the veil into heaven, I imagine her soul shining brightly. I imagine she is now your angel watching over you. I feel lucky that I got to be part of her life. Love to all her family.
