Barbara Lea Dockery, age 85, of Fayetteville, AR passed away Monday, October 13, 2025 in Fayetteville. She was born May 1, 1940 in Japton, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Johnny Ray Dockery; parents Loy and Euna Sisemore; sister Darlene Taylor; nephew Bryan Driggers; and brother Dale Sisemore.
Barbara worked for JC Penney where her love of fashion was created. She also worked many years at McIlroy Bank & Trust. She was a member of Center Street Church of Christ. During Barbara’s free time she enjoyed all things creative, camping, reading, and spending time with her family.
Barbara is survived by her two children, Daran Johnson and his wife Kim of West Fork, and Chon Marsters and her husband Paul of Mountainburg; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Beard’s Chapel with Pastor Heath Clower officiating. Interment will follow in Drakes Creek Cemetery in Wesley, AR.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service-time at the funeral home on Thursday.
I am very sorry for your loss. I pray god will grant you and your family peace and comfort during this difficult time. Ms Dockery was a good neighbor to my dad at Ciel.
Barb was a beautiful lady with a great personality. We worked together for years at the bank. God bless all of her family.
Cousin Barb was so much fun to be around.
