Jan 2, 2024

Beatrice Stearns, 73, of Fayetteville passed away unexpectedly but peacefully Sunday December 31st in Fayetteville. She was born May 1st, 1950 in Grafton, North Dakota to David and Geraldine Stearns. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers David and William Stearns and sister Diane Kesey.

Bea is survived by her daughters Jami (Eric) Wilson and Laura (Mitchell) Brown and son Robert (Teresa Lackey) Pease as well as eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Surviving siblings include Elizabeth Duerr, Janet Brotherton and Thomas Stearns, along with assorted nieces, nephews and cousins scattered across the country that all loved her dearly.

She was a wonderful daughter, mother sister Nana, aunt and nurse. She has been described as cool, beautiful, and even glamorous (much to her sister’s dismay), but more than anything, full of kindness and love.

A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday January 6th from 1-4 p.m. at the Collier & Associates building at 2909 Glory Drive in Fayetteville. If you are unable to make it and in lieu of flowers and gifts, the family asks that you simply spend time with those you love doing something silly or spontaneous in her name.

Oh my, I just found Bea’s obit on the internet. I am very saddened to hear of her passing. She was such a sweet person. I feel so bad for her family! I met Bea when her sister, Beth and I were in nursing school. She was always so helpful with our studies. That was such a long time ago. ❤️
