Betty Glenn Faubus peacefully departed this life on May 29, 2025 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 96. Betty was born in Farmington, Arkansas on December 22, 1928 to Calvin and Martha Vernon Patrick Glenn.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Darrow Doyle Faubus; an infant daughter Karen LaRue; siblings, Ewell Glenn, Ruby Glenn Selph, Robert Glenn, Curtis Glenn, Margaret Glenn Lackey, and Ronald Glenn; and many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her daughter Debra Cane; her granddaughter Megie Dickinson; and two great- grandchildren, Cooper and Sophia Dickinson.
Betty lived a long rich life. Though she encountered challenging times, those experiences shaped her resilience. Betty remained a pillar of faith and loyalty to her religious beliefs. She was a long-time member of the Church of Christ and diligently studied her Bible. Her occupations ranged from teaching to Postmaster to real estate. A woman of deep faith and strength, she was a strong support in her community and enjoyed socializing and helping others. She enjoyed long car trips with Doyle across the United States. She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and great-grandchildren.
Betty will be remembered by her charisma, service, generosity, and devotion to her faith.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Monday, June 2, 2025 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Combs Cemetery in Combs, Arkansas with Randall Caselman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church of Christ on Center Steet in Fayetteville, Arkansas in honor of her faith to her religion.
Betty will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
