Beverly Ruth Pretty, 68, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022. She was born July 21, 1954, in Fayetteville to Dale and Fonda Callaway.

Beverly was a devoted wife, loving mother and wonderful Nana to her grandchildren. She was a member of South Hill Church of Christ once she obeyed the gospel in 1969 at New Home Church of Christ. She had a strong Christian faith, charming smile, infectious laugh and a sparkle in her eyes. Beverly was an avid seamstress. She spent a lot of her time making quilts for loved ones, hemming pants, making dresses and traveling to quilt shop hops with her friends. She was an active member of her community, especially with her children and grandchildren’s activities.

Beverly loved people, people loved her and was always eager to help anyone. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be deeply missed by all.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, Tony Pretty; and a son Trenton Pretty.

She is survived by her children, Travis Pretty and wife, Sunny, of Fayetteville. Daughter, Tonette Weathers and husband, Kasey, of Fayetteville; Daughter-in-law, Laura Pretty of Fayetteville.

Eight grandchildren, who made her world go around, Braeden, Tinsley and Landry Pretty; Cooper, Easton and McKenzie Pretty; Reagan and Andrew Weathers. Brother, H.D. Callaway and wife, Shelly, of Pettigrew; Sister, Dollie Donahou, Dennis, of Combs. Sister, Darlene Smith, Melvin, of Cleveland, Mississippi.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Friday, October 14, 2022 at Beard’s Chapel.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Beard’s Chapel with Scott Gage officiating. Interment will be private in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.

    What a beautiful precious lady. Beverly was such an inspiration to all of us girls in quilt class! She was a truly one of a kind precious lady with a heart of gold. She will be missed so much in quilt class at Lonesome Pines Quilt shop. God speed Beverly.

      She was so very proud of her family. I was so impressed by how well behaved all of the grandchildren were at one of our local restaurants. When I bragged to her about that she just beamed. This took place a few years ago when all of the children were small.
      I am so sorry for your loss. She will be missed by so many.

    I did not know Beverly Ruth, but Tony and Travis were my heat & a/c guys for 20 years and they and Trenton were/are special people. I send my sincere condolence to Travis and the rest of the family. She died too young.
