Billy Don Sanders of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away peacefully at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab on December 11, 2025. He was born June 13,1949 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Troy and Agnes Sanders.
He is preceded in death by his father, Troy and mother, Agnes, and his two sisters Dorothy Shackelford and Verla Shackelford and previous wife Elaine Sanders.
He is survived by wife Margaret Sanders, brother Oran and Lou Sanders, son Donnie and Rhonda Sanders, and daughter Angie and Jerry McGuire, and step daughters Ann and Troy Shackelford and Nancy and Scott Pitts.
His family has accumulated many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grand children, step great grandchild, along with a large circle of extended family and friends.
Between naps in his retirement, he spent hours watching episodes of Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith-even able to quote script and tell you what was about to happen (spoiler alert).
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 10:00am at Brannon Mountain Church, Elkins, Arkansas.
