Billy Joe Huey, 86, of Brentwood passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his home. He was born May 11, 1931 in the Brentwood Community to Harry Cleveland and Lillian Barron Huey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anne Huey; 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Billy was an Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He entered construction work after the Air Force where he cut and hauled firewood. He loved nature, animals and music. Billy was a songwriter who later had a 2-song recording contract.
He is survived by a sister, Betty Douglas and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 8, 2018 at Brentwood Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
There is no scheduled visitation.
The world would be a better place if there were more people like Bill Huey. Via con dios, my friend.
Uncle Bill was a sweet man. Always enjoyed company and good music. Rest in peace.
