Bobby Gene Nida, 76, of Elkins, passed peacefully surrounded by family on November 8, 2023. He was born February 28, 1947 in Rogers, Arkansas to Clyde and Georgia Nida. He was one of 12 children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Judy Nida; sisters Madge Bland, Alice Henson and Doris Nida; brothers Jimmy, Richard, Darrell and Wayne; and grandson Jesse Nida.
Bob was a lifelong resident of NWA, retiring from Wal-Mart.
His many hobbies included being outside riding his four-wheeler throughout the Ozarks with his friends on the mountain, hunting, camping and most enjoyed taking his grandkids on the boat. He enjoyed traveling and road trips with friends and family.
He was known as PaBob and had a great love for his family. He demonstrated a strong work ethic, he was loyal, gave unconditional love and always gave grace. He had a generous heart, willing to help anyone in need. He will be loved and missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Marcia of Elkins; son Robert and wife Tonyalaya Nida of Cabot; daughter Valerie and husband Troy Thurber of Bentonville; grandchildren Emily and husband Will, Tommy, Joey, Chloe, Madison, Ryan, Addison and Avery; bonus daughters Heather and husband Jeff Boddie of Elkins and Sunny and husband Bret Ledford of Elkins; bonus son Tyler Johnson of Elkins; bonus grandchildren Emily, Courtney and husband JJ, Sean, Kain, Bryson, Carter and Grayson; brothers Larry and wife Linda Nida of Pea Ridge, Jerry Nida of Pea Ridge, and Paul Nida of Dallas; sister Nancy and husband Ralph Pendergraft of Tontitown; brother-in-law Ronnie and wife Judy Arney of Rogers; and many nieces, nephews and very dear friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Beard’s Chapel.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, November 13, 2023 at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship Church in Elkins with Pastor Jasper Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Crosses under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
We will miss Bob but have many memories thru the years to fall back on (and if you need pictures have a number of them).
Valerie and all the family… Through the years I’ve known nothing but good things about Bobby. Val.. I know he was a wonderful father to you and brought you up in the way you should go. Reading his obituary I can see that he loved so many and was loved by so many in return. Prayers for all of you as you more in his passing.

Bob was a great guy! He gave so much laughter & fun to our Delaney community. We will miss the front yard conversations “Bobaroo” delivered from the comfort of his trusty Honda UTV. As a teenager, I worked with Bobby at the Springdale News. He was a great guy and I have many good memories of him. My condolences to all his family.
