Brenda Kay “Easley” Vinson, March 26, 1949~January 7, 2020

Brenda Kay “Easley” Vinson, 70, of Springdale, passed away January 7, 2020 with her beloved family by her side.

She was born to Rayburn E. Easley, her beloved father and Frances I. Dell on March 26, 1949.  Brenda attended Cassville High School before relocating to Rogers, Arkansas.  At Cassville, Brenda was crowned FFA Sweetheart 1964 and was on homecoming court as a maid in 1966.  She graduated in 1967 from Rogers High School.

Brenda is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 52 years, Ronald G. Vinson; four daughters, Shellea McDougal and husband, Mark of West Memphis, AR, Sherri Cooper and husband, Lee of Bentonville, AR, Stacey Williams and husband, Charlie of Springdale, AR and Stephanie Ehlers and husband, Andy of Bentonville, AR; a son, Sheldon Vinson and wife, Amy of Fayetteville, AR; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Robert Vinson; two brothers, Douglas and Michael Easley; a sister, Karen Clarke; and several nieces and two nephews.

She and Ron lived together in Cassville, MO before relocating to Springdale, AR to raise their children.  While her children were growing-up, Brenda, along with her husband Ron, were involved in the community by coaching their daughters’ basketball and softball teams for 16 years and they enjoyed watching their son play baseball and football.  Brenda is remembered by many of the girls as a wonderful coach, role model, “other mother” and someone they could look up to and count-on.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Rayburn E. Easley and Belva B. Easley and Frances I. Dell and Lloyd Dell; two grandchildren, Parker Rae and Fisher Ray Vinson; and a sister-in-law, Sondra B. Vinson.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Center St. Church of Christ, 310 W. Center St, Fayetteville, AR 72701.
