Brett Arnold Scroggins passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on April 15, 2026, at 55 years of age after an intense yearlong battle against an aggressive brain tumor.

Brett was born on May 5, 1970, in Miami Globe, Arizona to Lloyd and Shirley Scroggins. He grew up in Texas and Arizona alongside his siblings Brenda, Charlie, and Brion.

Brett graduated from Arizona State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.

Brett went on to San Marcus, Texas where he worked as an Engineer at Motorola, making many lifelong friends. It was in San Marcus that he met the love of his life, Tina, while she was on vacation. It was love at first sight and soon after the two were married on August 17, 1996, in Canehill, Arkansas.

Brett was an extremely dedicated husband and father to his two children, Ethan and Emma. He was well known by family, friends, and coworkers for his intelligence and strong work ethic, most recently working as Plant Manager for Newlyweds Foods in Springdale, AR. He also spent a lot of time working on his farm in Prairie Grove, AR, taking care of the place he loved while raising honeybees and beef cattle.

Everyone that knew Brett knew he loved to have fun. He loved spending time at the lake camping and driving his boat. He held a black belt in karate. He loved muscle cars. He was a skilled mechanic and liked fixing up his 1968 Pontiac Firebird. Brett loved to travel with his family and took them all over the world. He loved the beach, fireworks, roller coasters, parades, holidays, vacations, attending sporting events, dancing, swimming, watching movies, playing games, a good laugh, a cold beer, and great food. Overall, Brett loved life, and he always found ways to make the most of it.

More than anything, Brett fiercely loved his family and friends. Brett is survived by his loving wife, Tina Scroggins and his two children, Ethan Scroggins (23) and Emma Scroggins (21) of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, his parents Lloyd and Shirley Scroggins of Tucson, Arizona, his brothers Charles (Roxanne) Scroggins of Bloomington, Minnesota and Brion Scroggins of Tucson, Arizona, his in-laws Gordon and Gail Carte of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Brett was preceded in death by his grandparents, his sister, Brenda Haes of Tucson, AZ, and his brother-in-law Brian Carte of Prairie Grove, AR.

He is greatly missed by all who knew him. Throughout his battle with cancer, he never showed fear. Brett knew if his body lost the battle, his spirit would win in the end. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race. 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

There will be a visitation from 1:00 PM until service-time at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Brett was a great reminder to me that you have fun while working toward a common goal. He had great integrity. I used to comment to others on our team at Danaher that Brett never learned how to lie. He was always working for truth. He had an infectious smile and nothing seemed to ever get him down. I was blessed to work on the same team with him.
