Brittany Austin, August 10, 1995~March 24, 2025

Apr 2, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brittany Austin, born August 10, 1995, who left us on March 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with depression. Brittany was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her, and her loss leaves a void that cannot be filled.

Brittany was a woman of remarkable strength, known for her fierce determination, her unwavering compassion, and her infectious sense of humor. Whether she was offering a listening ear, making someone laugh with her wit, or standing up for what she believed in, she lived each day with a passion that was evident to all around her.

Though she struggled silently in ways that many did not see, her heart was always open to others. She had a deep empathy for those in pain and was often the first to offer support, comfort, and a kind word. Her laughter was a gift, and her ability to find humor in the smallest moments brought joy to those lucky enough to be in her presence.

Brittany will be remembered not just for the way she touched the lives of her loved ones, but for the way she lived her life with authenticity and kindness. She may have lost her battle with depression, but her spirit, her love, and her legacy will live on in those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her mother, father, and brother. In her memory, we ask that you extend compassion to others, as she so often did, and remember her for the laughter, warmth, and love she gave so freely.

Rest in peace, Brittany. You are deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.  Funeral service will be Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11am, at Beard’s Funeral Chapel, and visitation Friday, April 4, 2025, from 5-7pm, at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

It was clear that Brittany was a special person from the first time we met. She proved that we do not need to be loud or bold to light up a room. Brittany was able to do that with a sweet smile and a quiet encouraging word. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with her. I continue to be amazed by how she was able to spread boundless joy, hope, and positivity; even when she didn’t hold any for herself. We are all better for having known her, and she will be greatly missed. However, she will never be forgotten. May we all purpose ourselves to live selflessly as she did, and to treat others with enduring kindness. May she rest in the arms of Jesus, and experience joy like she has never known before. Until we meet again

I will forever remember you as smiling, laughing and being silly. Your personality was as big as your heart. Work won’t be the same without you. I appreciate so much about you, especially the way you took up for others when they were being wronged. That’s another admirable quality that you possessed. May you rest in peace, until we meet again.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Brittany’s passing. Working with her for just a few short months, I gained a friend and a companion who never failed to make me or anyone around laugh or smile, knowing that I was struggling in my own life. She never hesitated to cheer anyone around her up. She had a way of seeing people, and making them feel known and understood. Her impact is long-lasting and by knowing her, you could never forget a soul like hers. Brittany was also the best hug giver around! Rest in love, Brittany. You deserve nothing but peace on your next journey. Your memory is the utmost blessing.
