Hollingsworth for PaperBuddy Gene Hollingsworth 72 of Sulphur City, Arkansas died September 30, 2014 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born February 16, 1942 in Delaney, Arkansas to Lester and Ruth Hill Hollingsworth. Buddy was a heavy equipment operator for Sweetser Construction. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and campaign working.

He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Brown Hollingsworth. Three sons: Greg Hollingsworth and Scott Hollingsworth and wife Shelly  and Jerome Hollingsworth all of Fayetteville, one daughter, Gail Rhodes of Elkins, three brothers, Bradley Hollingsworth and wife Sherry of Springdale, Mack Hollingsworth of Pettigrew and Ralph Hollingsworth and wife Linda of Prairie Grove. Six grandchildren, Amanda, James, Josh, Dylan, Gracie and Sophia and two great grandchildren Natalie and Logan.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 3, 2014 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ray Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
