Calvin Langham, 92, of Elkins, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 in Huntsville.  He was born August 22, 1927 in Goshen, AR to Amsie Ammon and Myrtie Branstetter Langham.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dewanna Ann Kennedy Langham; a son, Ricky Langham; a sister, Virginia Boatright; a grandson, Coby Langham; and a sister-in-law, Shelby Langham.

He was a World War II Army veteran stationed at White Sands, New Mexico.  Calvin was a lifelong resident of northwest Arkansas.  He attended Goshen High School.  Calvin was a member of Goshen United Methodist Church.  He was a member of the Goshen City Council and assistant mayor.  He was a former Goshen Riding Club member (which he was on the founding board).  Calvin was also a former member of RCI and a 4-H leader for 10 years.  He was also a heating and air foreman for the University of Arkansas for 25 years.  Calvin enjoyed cattle farming.

Calvin is survived by a daughter, Sharon Samuels and husband, Lanny of Goshen; a sister, Patsy Langham of Fayetteville; a brother, Claude Langham of Fayetteville; a daughter-in-law, Vaneta Langham of Elkins; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Randall Galloway officiating under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

There is no scheduled visitation.

    Calvin was a great guy.i worked around Calvin and Ricky for years and both were the best. Honest and hard workers. Sorry for your loss.

    Sharon I think Calvin and Daddy are reunited and having a grand time with Dewanna and Mom. Brings me joy knowing knowing they are together with family, friends and most of all our Lord.
