Charles A. Johnson, 81, of West Fork, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 in Fayetteville. He was born March 27, 1938.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Janice Johnson.
Charles retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He also retired from Campbell Soup Company as a maintenance man and was a member of Baptist Ford Community Church.
He is survived by three children, Carolyn Rice and husband, Mickey, Barbara Marie McBroom and husband, David and Charles Edward Johnson and wife, Debbie; 3 grandchildren, Tina Donahue, Ryan Donahue and Nicole Avitts and husband, Alex; 2 great-grandchildren, Makayla Donahue and Ezekiel Avitts; his brother, Donald Johnson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Baptist Ford Community Church with Pastor Ervin Hutchins officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mineral Springs Cemetery.
