Charlotte “Ann” Kordt, age 73, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR.

Ann was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Hughey of Fayetteville; the granddaughter of the late George and Irene Crudup of Crosses and Perry and Winfred Hughey of Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by daughter Kasey Nicole Kordt and infant sister Jennifer Hughey.

She was born April 11, 1944 in Fayetteville City Hospital. During her childhood she lived in Crosses AR, Germany, Fort Bennington GA, Baldwin AR, Fort Bliss TX, Milwaukee WI, and Fort Jay NY as her father served in the US Army.  She married Keith in 1962 and lived in Germany while he was stationed there with the US Army. They returned in 1964 and made their home in Northwest Arkansas.  They raised four daughters and later enjoyed 10 grandchildren.  Ann had a heart for helping others.  Throughout her life she continuously ministered to new mothers, young families, and giving of time and resources to those who she encountered in need. After the passing of her youngest child, she spent countless hours working with a support group for grieving parents and families.  Her joy was spending time with grandchildren, family, friends, and traveling to Branson. She was a member of Cross Church in Springdale.

She is survived by husband of 55 years, Keith Kordt; daughters, Kim Wood (Chris), Kristy Ruff (Pat), Kelly Fougerousse (Mark); grandchildren, Sarah, Dylan, Justin, Noah, Phillip, Jordan, Samantha, Nick, Hannah, and Graham; sisters, Carol Walther (Jim), Mary Cathcart, Susan Scott (Dusty), and Janet Bishop (Dave); sister-in-law, Barbara Berndt (Glenn); and 15 nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cross Church Springdale with burial following at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018 at Beard’s Chapel in Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Arkansas Children’s Northwest in Springdale, https://giving.archildrens.org

    Dear Kordt family,
Please know that I am praying that Jesus would hold you all close to Himself at this time. I so appreciate knowing your family and how Ann reached out to me to make me feel special some thirty plus years ago. I will always remember my 18th birthday with you all (still have the pictures) :). Thank you and love you all.
