Christopher Joe Vaught, age 50, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021. He was born July 11, 1971 in Fayetteville to Stanley and Frances Self Vaught. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1989. Chris was a proud father to Marissa Powers and Ryan Vaught, wife Laci. He was well loved and Happy (grandfather) to Brooke and Jax.
Chris is survived by his parents; his brother Brian, wife Jalynn Vaught; his sister Sonya, husband James Waddell; his nephews Bryce, wife Brittany Vaught, Marcus, wife Charity Waddell, and R T, wife Mia Waddell; his great- nephews Zach and Joseph; and great-niece Layla; his uncle Leroy Belt; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Dennis and Bea Vaught and Raymond and Velda Self; aunts Mary Jo Crawson and Shirley Belt; and niece Tristan Vaught.
Family and friends were most important for Chris. He enjoyed every moment with them. He served his job well at Crain Hyundai while always looking for special things to buy and sell at Happy’s Trading Post.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 17, 2021 at Living Faith Church in Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service-time at the church Friday.
Interment will follow in Farmington Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

Chris was a great guy and will be missed by.many. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time
