Clifford Shofner Alderson, February 18, 1942~April 27, 2021

Apr 28, 2021

Clifford Shofner Alderson, 79, of Springdale, AR, passed away April 27, 2021 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, due to congestive heart failure.

Clifford was born on February 18, 1942 to Lee and Theda Alderson (Shofner) in Wesley, Arkansas. The family spent many years in Southern California before returning to Northwest Arkansas. Clifford graduated from Fullerton High School in California in 1959. After high school, he worked as a fireman for Orange County for about 20 years. He also worked with Hughes Aircraft for a few years before he decided to move back to his home state.

Clifford moved back to NW Arkansas where he met and later married Brenda Jeko (Blevins), his best friend. They enjoyed living and working in Springdale. Clifford was an avid fisherman, once holding a record for the largest bass caught in Lake Castaic, CA. He loved to garden and hunt, but mostly loved spending time with his family. His newest joy was his “Baby Girl, Morgan,” the apple of his eye. He was a Jack-of-All-Trades who loved helping people. He was gregarious and enjoyed his time with others; it didn’t matter if you were an old friend or a friend he had not previously met.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Alderson; his daughters, Robyn Alderson (Jim) of Hickory Creek, TX and Kristen Jefferson (Larry) of Colleyville, TX; sisters and brothers, Rosellen Daugherty of Payson, AZ, Wilma Piccarelli of Sun City West, AZ, Keller Alderson (Joy) of Little Rock, AR, Bryan Alderson (Jeannette) of Bentonville, AR, Virginia Alderson of Bella Vista, AR; one grandchild, Morgan of Colleyville, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-son, Devin Jeko.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 3, 2021 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow in Wesley Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

There is no scheduled visitation.
