Dale Stanley Fercho, February 23, 1944~June 27, 2026

Jul 1, 2026

In loving memory of Dale Stanley Fercho (“Papa”), 82, of West Fork, Arkansas. He was born February 23, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and passed away on June 27, 2026 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his cherished wife Sharon Uldene Fercho; father Donald Fercho; and his mother Margaret Erickson Fercho. Dale was also preceded in death by a brother Duane “Butch” Fercho; sisters, Ferne Ackerman and Darlene Rogers; and a great-granddaughter Lillyanna Fercho.

Dale was married to his beloved wife, Sharon, for over 50 years, who preceded him in death by only 11 days. Theirs was a remarkable and devoted love that could not bear parting for long. On that foundation, together they built a family of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, endlessly teaching by example that love endures all things.

Dale enlisted in the military at 18 and served in the Vietnam War as a tank mechanic in the United States Marine Corps, honorably discharging with the rank of Sargent. As a young man, he ventured to Hollywood where he performed under the stage name “Allen Wild” as an actor and stunt double, even appearing in a handful of Alfred Hitchcock films. He raised his family in Minnesota, Texas, and Arkansas, making a living as a professional driver and safety instructor, eventually retiring as the Director of Safety and Transportation for a local trucking company. Dale was a talented competitive bowler and also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and gardening. He and Sharon loved sitting together in their home listening to country music, singing along and dancing with one another. A man built of strength but lined with tenderness, Dale blessed all who knew him with his memorable sense of humor and an unmatched ability to love unconditionally.

He is survived by a sister Donna Swider; his children, Troy Fercho of Wisconsin, Phillip Fercho of Arkansas, Tina Catalone and partner Robert Cherry of Arkansas, and Angie Sanders and husband Dustin Sanders of Arkansas; 8 grandchildren, Alex Fercho, Dustin Fercho and wife Caitlan Fercho, Jacqui Woolsey and husband Tristan Woolsey, Kayla LaRue and husband Matt LaRue, CJ Fercho, Cody Moore and wife Doris Moore, Teia Morgan, and Emily White and husband Tanner White; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Heath Clower officiating. Interment will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until service-time at the funeral home on Tuesday.
