Daniel Ray Looney, age 40, of West Fork and Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on October 20, 2026. Born on April 11, 1986, in Fayetteville, Daniel was the son of Dennis Looney and Cindy Duncan.
Daniel was one of a kind, with his own interests, passions, and special connections with the people who meant the most to him. He found happiness in the simple things in life, whether it was spending time in the kitchen cooking something good, tending to his garden, or growing his favorite crop-tomatoes. He enjoyed golfing and was a devoted fan of all things Arkansas Razorbacks. Woo Pig Sooie!
Family was an important part of Daniel’s life, and he especially treasured the time he spent with his niece and nephew, Karter and Emory. Those family connections were special, and the memories they shared will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
Daniel also had a love for gaming, where he formed a special friendship with the T.S.A. group. For those who know, you know-IYKYK! Some friendships and shared experiences don’t need an explanation to those who understand. They simply become part of the story that makes a person who they are.
Daniel graduated with the Class of 2004 from West Fork, Arkansas. Throughout his life, he developed his own interests, built meaningful friendships, and created memories that will live on through the people who knew and loved him.
Daniel leaves behind a family who will forever hold him in their hearts.
He is survived by his father, Dennis Looney, of West Fork, Arkansas; his mother, Cindy Duncan, and her partner, Danny Villines, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his sister, Sarah Hawn, and her husband, Bobby; his beloved niece, Emory, and nephew, Karter; his uncle and aunt, Charles and Cathryn Looney, of Hope, Arkansas; and his cousins Chris Looney, Craig Looney, and Caryn Looney.
He is also survived by his aunt, Bettye Ann Kisor; his cousin, Joseph Kisor, and wife, Michala, and their daughter, Eli; and his cousin, Nathaniel Kisor, and wife, Cheyenne, and their sons, Wilder and Worth.
Daniel’s passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully express. Every person has a story, and Daniel’s story will continue through the memories he leaves behind, the family who loved him, the friendships he formed, and the moments that will never be forgotten.
As we remember Daniel, we celebrate the life he lived, the things that brought him joy, and the unique person he was. Though his time here has come to an end, his memory will remain a part of the lives he touched.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Gone from sight, but never from our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Robbie Duncan officiating.
There is no scheduled visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org or a society of your choice.

Daniel was my neighbor in West Fork, and I watched him graduate from West Fork High School. Such a tragic loss of a young life. “My heart goes out to you for the loss of Daniel. I know how much he meant to you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.”
Very sorry for your loss.
