Dan Browning was an awesome shipmate. The time we served together at Barbers Point would become the standard I would measure every other job (in the navy and out) by. Nothing came close, and it was because of his influence.
He was one of the true good guys.
SO sorry that he is gone so soon.
Our prayers for Dan, Kim, their kids and grandkids.

Dan, we served multiple duty stations together. We hunted wild boar together with our Army and Turkish buddies; threw darts and fished at Lake Nasworthy in Texas; and laughed and argued with each other in Monterrey, CA. You were a significant part of my Navy upbringing. I miss you…. God Bless you and comfort your loved ones. David Louden, USN (Retired)

Appreciate you Danny for your marvelous contributions for our country and the last years your service for your church . Played many dominos games with your parents in your dining room before you retired and ended up in their house. Good wonderful memories. Now waiting for that reunion in Heaven. To a special brother-in-law who will always be remembered as Uncle Dan to our kids and grandkids. I never thought by marrying your brother Rod that I would be part of such an extended family. Thank you for always treating me like a sister.

Dan Browning was one of the best leaders in the Naval Security Group. He trained and mentored me and a lot of other sailors in various operational assignments. He taught me a lot about what is important. I was lucky to serve with Master Chief Browning, Chris, and Kim. My heart goes out to the entire family.

My deepest condolences to Chris and the rest of his family. Dean and others said it best, Danny was truly one of the great ones, he was a great AOIC, Chief and Master Chief. He knew family was most important and he made us all feel like family at Barber’s Point. Thank you, Danny for all you did for us. Godspeed.

Dan and I met first at NSGD/NCS Rota Spain. When he wasn’t flying a B1RD and I wasn’t boring holes deep in the Med, we conspired and setup DIRSUP training using two OICS vans. Every one trained there owes his later success to Dan. Later, we were in the same Intermediate Russian language class. The man never forgot a shipmate; he sent me congratulations when I was initiated. Dan remains a close shipmate. I can only echo the remembrances and condolences by Ed, Daniel, Tim, Dean, Mike, and all others. This hits hard.
